Last Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena wasn’t just another high-energy Razorback basketball game; it marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter between Tyson Foods and Razorback Athletics. As fans packed the arena, they witnessed Arkansas pull off a decisive win over Texas. But what happened around the court was just as meaningful as what happened on it—especially for the future of two iconic Northwest Arkansas organizations.

A First-of-its-Kind Partnership, Rooted in Arkansas Pride

Earlier that day, Tyson Foods and the University of Arkansas announced a landmark athletics partnership, one of the most comprehensive in college sports history. Beginning in the 2026-27 season, our logo will appear on the jerseys of all 19 men’s and women’s varsity Razorback teams, representing one of the nation’s first-ever collegiate jersey patch sponsorships.

As part of this multi-year agreement, Tyson Foods will serve as the Official Protein of the Arkansas Razorbacks, supporting student-athletes (and beyond!) with the nutrition they need to perform at their best. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to fueling the next generation of leaders, competitors and community contributors. For Tyson Foods, it’s not just about visibility; it’s about strengthening ties with future generations through sports, community engagement and the kind of high-quality protein that helps everyone thrive. It reflects our continued focus on reaching the next generation of consumers in meaningful ways.

Game Day Activations: Bringing the Partnership to Life

To celebrate this historic announcement, Tyson Foods hosted a series of special activations during Wednesday night’s men’s basketball game, giving fans an early look at the energy and connection this partnership brings. Activations included:

In-Arena Celebration Moments 🎉 | Before the game, during breaks and even after the game, fans saw our brand highlighted, building anticipation and officially commemorating the expanded partnership. This included brand storytelling moments that emphasized Tyson Foods’ Arkansas roots and its commitment to student-athletes, multiple sweepstakes opportunities, balloons paired with elite photo opps, student section participation and more.

Razorback Spirit, Tyson Style 🐗 | The celebration featured a Razorback-themed hype video co-branded with Tyson Foods, reinforcing the new “Official Protein of the Razorbacks” designation and the forthcoming patches.

Recognition of Razorback Athletes 📣 | Our halftime event highlighted student-athletes across multiple sports, nodding to the partnership’s unique emphasis on supporting athletes not just with branding, but through meaningful involvement. Former Arkansas athletes—now proud Tyson Foods team members—joined John Tyson, Chairman of the Board, and Donnie King, President & CEO, on the court as part of the celebration.

A Visual Preview of What’s to Come 🏟️ | While jersey patches launch next season, the game offered fans an early taste of expanded Tyson Foods visibility, building excitement for branding that will soon appear across uniforms, courts or fields and media backdrops.

Winning on the Court, Building for the Future

While the energy inside Bud Walton Arena helped set the stage, the expanded Tyson Foods-Razorback partnership is about something far bigger and more enduring than a single night’s game. It represents a long-term investment in student-athletes, campus life and the Arkansas community we call home.

As John Tyson said, Tyson Foods is proud to support young people “on the field, in the classroom and beyond.” And Wednesday’s launch and celebrations showed just how powerful that support can look: energizing fans, empowering student-athletes and strengthening a bond between two institutions committed to excellence.
