Earlier this year at the McDonald’s Worldwide conference, we received a great honor in being recognized as the McDonald’s Global Supplier of the Year. This prestigious award reflects the hard work and dedication of our team members who take great pride in supplying the Golden Arches with exceptional product every single day, all around the world.

It is an honor that needed to be celebrated, so our McDonald’s business unit leadership team recently took a tour to all our domestic facilities to thank team members in person. We traveled to five facilities across four states, enjoyed meals of local catfish and BBQ with our team members, and recognized their hard work with games and giveaways. I felt privileged to shake hands with the plant managers, with the first-, second-, and third-shifters who turn our business goals into reality. And we had a lot of fun, too!

From the dunk tank in Nashville, Ark. and the picnic and 25th anniversary celebration in Union City, Tenn., to visiting the new Feed Mill supporting our Hope and Nashville complexes, to the Hope, Ark. luncheon, the dancing in Camilla, Ga. and celebrating in Albany, Ky. – it was truly special to see the smiles on the faces of all our team members here in the U.S. who made a difference and helped Team Tyson win the award!

And that’s who this award belongs to: our team members. They stayed committed to production and growth, navigated global supply chain issues, and delivered on our promises. We came together to invest in new facilities around the globe to support demand and collaborated with McDonald’s to drive change through sustainability and build supply chain resistance.

While it was our first time winning the award, we’re working to ensure it isn’t the last. Our Operations Team is wearing Global Supplier of the Year attire with pride and as a reminder of what we can achieve when we come together as OneTyson.

We continue our commitment to winning with team members, winning with customers and consumers, and winning with excellence and look forward to bringing home the McDonald’s Global Supplier of the Year award again. And when we do, it’ll be because of our team members.
