We all have heard about the difficulties the foodservice industry has faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly local restaurants. The reality is this: the past year has been the most devastating time in foodservice history. Over 110,000 restaurants and bars have closed, and the ramifications of the pandemic are still being felt across the industry. Foodservice has always been important to Tyson Foods, and it’s more important than ever to support restaurants and local establishments.

Last March, Tyson Foods teamed up with The Great American Takeout to help fight the devasting effects of COVID-19 on the foodservice industry. While brighter days are on the horizon, restaurant operators and employees still need our support. Please continue to help turn the tables for restaurants by ordering takeout or delivery on March 24, 2021—the one-year anniversary of The Great American Takeout. Tyson Foods, along with other sponsors, will donate $10 for every social media post to Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #TheGreatAmericanTakeout – up to $550,000 combined – to the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and CORE™ (Children of Restaurant Employees) to help empower workers and their families. Let’s help make this the biggest day ever for sales at local restaurants!

Participation is simple. On March 24 order takeout or delivery and post a picture of your meal to Instagram or Twitter and tag with #TheGreatAmericanTakeout. We’re also encouraging the use of #Tysonis4Takeout.

Tyson Foods is proud to support our customers and the foodservice industry. Please participate in The Great American Takeout and help businesses in our communities across the nation. I know I’ll be supporting my favorite local restaurants that day, and I am encouraging team members, my friends and my family to do the same.
