There’s no doubt baseball season, like everything else, is looking different this year. For many people and families, cherished summertime moments center around days at the ballpark. Just close your eyes for a second and imagine the sounds of the crowd and the game, spending time with friends and family, and of course, the delicious taste and smell of a ballpark frank. While this summer is certainly unique, the Ball Park brand team wanted to help celebrate the season and the joy it brings, while giving back in the process.

Baseball stadium vendors make the game experience unforgettable, which is why we launched the #FrankItForward initiative, an effort rooted in helping out-of-work baseball stadium vendors impacted by the pandemic. Timed to the return of the baseball season and National Hot Dog Day, the Ball Park® brand is pledging a $100,000 commitment to kick-off the initiative and is inviting fans nationwide to join the #FrankItForward initiative on Twitter.

Now through September 7, fans can participate in one of two ways on Twitter with #FrankItForward: post a video or photo of a favorite baseball memory using #FrankItForward, or simply re-tweet the brand’s announcement of the program. In addition to Ball Park brand’s initial commitment of $100,000, for each tweet or re-tweet using #FrankItForward, the brand will donate an additional dollar to baseball stadium vendors for the first 50,000 eligible tweets. We hope you’ll join us in this effort to support baseball stadium vendors across the country.

Major League Baseball Charities has also stepped up to the plate to help us ensure these deserving vendors are recognized and receive some support this season. In addition to spreading the word about #FrankItForward on social with fans, MLB Charities will facilitate the distribution of all funds contributed by the brand.

A well-known quote from famed baseball player Yogi Berra sums up our team’s sentiment for this season nicely: “Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good, too.” Because what we all need right now is support, kindness, love – and of course, baseball and franks.

From our team to the team of baseball stadium vendors across the country – we can’t wait until we’re all back in the ballpark soon to enjoy the game together. Now let’s play ball!
